Notorious Xzaveon Pitts, 22 of Rome, a convicted felon, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of a stolen handgun.
Reports said that a search warrant issued at his room at the Hilltop Lofts resulted in officers finding the stolen gun.
Reports added that Pitts fled the scene before officers arrived. However, the other occupant in the room advised police that Pitts had stolen the gun.
Pitts is charged with felony theft by taking, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, probation violation, and failure to appear.
