Robert Wayne King 66 of Centre, was arrested in Rome after a high speed car and foot chase on Billy Pyle Road.
Report said that officers initially attempted to stop King for driving with the wrong license plate on his vehicle. King proceeded to speed away at a high rate of speed and running three red lights.
Once King finally stopped, he is accused of jumping out of his vehicle and running away on foot. After being taken into custody, police said that King was found with a bag of methamphetamine.
King is charged with possession of meth, concealing the identity of a vehicle, running a stop sign and attempting to elude police.
