The Rome Alcohol Control Commission on Monday approved beer, wine and liquor pouring licenses for Guljar Singh who plans to reopen a longtime downtown bar, now being called the Peachy Pub.
The former Peaches, located at 325 Broad Street, has been closed for month after repeatedly getting pouring citations for violating the 50/50 food to drink ratio.
Signh had been denied twice by the ACC for a pouring license before this week’s meeting.
Plans are to continue to have events in addition to a small kitchen.
Reports said that Singh hopes to open around Thanksgiving.
