Michael Tyler Spears, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stalked and damaged the home of his girlfriend.
Reports said that during an argument with his girlfriend, Spears allegedly kicked the door to a home before throwing a sledgehammer into the residence.
Spears is under probation for a family violence offense from prior offense with the victim.
Spears is charged with aggravated stalking and probation violation.
