Michael Lamar Strickland Jr, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he ran from police when they went to talk to him about jaywalking near the intersection of Flannery and East 20th Street.
Police said that Strickland refused to stop for them and then fled away on foot.
Strickland is charged with crossing a roadway not in a crosswalk, obstruction and probation violation.
