Cirilo Lopez, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with drugs after crashing her vehicle into a ditch at the intersection of South Avenue and South Division Street.
Police said that they also discovered that he had not only been driving under the influence but was operating the vehicle without a license and with an incorrect license plate.
An opened container of alcohol was also found in the vehicle.
Officers went on to say that Lopez fled the scene but was quickly apprehended.
Lopez is charged with concealing the identity of a vehicle, possession of marijuana, driving without license, driving without insurance, operation of an unregistered vehicle, failure to maintain lane, obstruction, DUI, open container and stop sign violation.
