Alex Bernard Joyner, 33 of Cartersville, was arrested after reports said he pulled a gun on a woman and stole her car at the Citgo convenience store on New Calhoun Highway.
Joyner reportedly told the victim “give me your keys and nothing will happen to you.
He then fled the scene before crashing the victim’s car. Joyner then fled the scene on foot in an effort to escape being captured.
Joyner is charged with robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle, aggravated assault, theft by taking, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, pointing a gun at another, simple assault, 2nd degree criminal damage to property, terroristic threats/acts, failure to maintain lane and duty to report and accident.
