Willie Hares Geter, 32 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he imprisoned a woman inside a room at the A-1 Motel.
Police said that they were dispatched to the hotel to do a welfare check when they arrived on the scene with yelling coming from the room
Reports said that the incident began when Geter allegedly discovered that the woman had been texting other men after they had been drinking alcohol.
The victim added that when she attempted to leave the room, Geter placed his arms around her and prevented her from going.
Officers also reported that they could see marks on the side of the victim’s face where it looked as if something had struck her.
Reports went on to say that they went back to speak with the victim the next day and were told by the victim that her and Geter had not even been arguing the day before.
Geter is charged with false imprisonment.
