David Wayne Thomas, 62 of Taylorsville, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with multiple bags of methamphetamine, a glass pipe and digital scales during a search during a traffic stop on Turner McCall Blvd.
Police said that after stopping Thomas they discovered that he was driving on a suspended license and without insurance before proceeding to initiate his arrest.
It was then, officers found multiple bags of meth and digital scales.
Officers went on to say that Thomas had lost his license due to multiple traffic violations and not paying his child support.
Thomas is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects, driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and operation of an unregistered vehicle.
