Christina Diana Sheppard, 43 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she injured and burglarized an elderly woman at her home on Chulio Road.
Reports stated that Sheppard entered the home and “inflicted physical pain” to the victim, which is listed as her 65 year-old mother. The victim said that Sheppard grabbed her by the head of the hair before burglarizing the victim’s home.
Officers said that while taking Sheppard into custody, she was found in possession of Clonazepam that was not in its original container.
Sheppard is charged with first degree burglary, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, exploitation/ intimidation of the elderly.
