Billy Joe Butler Jr, 41 of Rome, a convicted sex offender, was arrested this week after reports said registered an address registered an address with authorities but never moved there.
Authorities stated that Butler told the sheriff’s office that he was moving from 1 Rebecca Street to 28 Northside Drive in Rome but never did so.
Butler is charged failure to register as sex offender and probation violation.
