Shakira Malesia Jett, 23, and Kwalic Jaquan Dublin, 23, both of Rome, were arrested this week at an apartment on Old Summerville Road after a verbal dispute became a physical altercation.
Reports said that Dublin grabbed Jett and proceeded to hit her with his fist. Jett suffered a visible red mark from the incident.
Jett is accused of hitting Dublin over the head with her cellphone. Dublin suffered a cut and bleeding from the incident.
Jett is also accused of throwing a rock at Dublin’s car, which resulted in his taillight being broken.
Officers did not say which of the events occurred first.
Both are charged with battery and criminal trespass.
