Michael Hunter Garrett, 30 of Calhoun, was arrested in Rome after reports said he passed out while driving a car under the influence and then wrecked near the intersection of Kerce and Fulton Roads.
Reports said that after wrecking, Garrett refused to exit his vehicle and then proceeded to hit a firefighter who was trying to help.
A search of the vehicle then resulted in police finding 57.2 grams of meth, packaging materials and digital scales.
Garrett is charged with possession of methamphetamine, trafficking meth, obstruction, obstruction of fire fighters, DUI and failure to maintain lane.
