Jasmine Patricia Williams, 22 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she repeatedly refused to show up for a truancy hearing for her child at Garden Lakes Elementary School.
Reports stated that Williams child had missed 15 unexcused days of school this year when she was sent a letter for a meeting in February.
After no-showing, a second meeting and letter was sent out for later that month. She again no-showed the meeting.
A third meeting in March for then scheduled, and again, Williams no showed the meeting.
A warrant was then taken for her arrest on March 14th.
Williams is charged with the mandatory education of children.
