Amy Christina Brantley Hendrix, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said they found her numerous times walking along Shorter Avenue facing oncoming traffic with her arms stretched wide open.

Police said that the second time they were dispatched to Hendrix a search was conducted, in the process leading them to find a glass smoking device containing methamphetamine.  It was also discovered that she was under the influence of drugs.

After being placed under arrest, Hendrix slammed her cellphone to the ground causing it to break into pieces.

Hendrix is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug related objects, littering, pedestrian under the influence of drugs and walking on roadway.
