Richard Laverne Jones, 18 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said shot a 51 year-old man in the foot.
Reports added that the victim’s foot was rendered useless due to the wound.
The incident occurred at a home on Blacks Bluff Road.
Jones is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and failure to appear.
