Chancelor Lamar Crawford, 23 of Rome, was arrested this week after months of shootings and robberies around Floyd County.

On November 18, 2023,  Crawford along with at least one additional suspect forced their way into a home on Smith Street with a gun.  He is then accused of shooting the gun within arm’s reach of the victim, who is a disabled adult.  In the robbery, he is accused of stealing close to $4,000 in cash.

On March 7th just before midnight of this year, Crawford is accused of trying to shoot another person on Reservoir Street.

This week, after being found in a vehicle on Newland Steet, Crawford is accused of jumping out and fleeing on foot.  He was captured after a 75 yard foot chase.

Crawford is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, home invasion in the first degree, first degree burglary, armed robbery and obstruction.
