Rome Man Jailed with Beating His Mother with a Broom Stick

Jonathan Lovell Brown, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly beat his elderly mother with a wooden broom handle.

Reports added that the victim had previously placed a retraining order against Brown before he went to her home on Porter Street and committed the acts.

He is also charged with beating another woman with his fist during the same incident.

Police added that the attacks occurred back on May 22^nd.

Brown is charged with two counts battery, criminal trespass, terroristic threats/acts, disorderly conduct, stalking, felony obstruction, band aggravates stalking.
