Fernando Willie Mills III, 29 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to choke a woman to death during a dispute on Burnett Ferry Road.

Mills then proceeded to kick the victim while she was on the ground before hitting her on the back of the head.

He is also accused of slamming a Playstation 5 to the ground causing it to break.  When the victim attempted to call 911 for help, Mills allegedly grabbed her phone and prevented her from doing such.

Mills is charged with aggravated assault, battery, criminal trespass, failure to appear, obstruction of a person make a 911 call, criminal trespass.
