Joshua William Garner, 44 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he signed his traffic citation with another’s name as his own.
Police said that Garner was stopped for not wearing his seat belt and was also using his cellphone while driving along Turner McCall Blvd.
It was later discovered that Garner used another’s name because he was driving on a suspended license.
Garner is charged with 2nd degree forgery, giving false information to police, driving without license in possession, seat belt violation, distracted hands-free violation, driving on a suspended license, contempt of court and failure to appear.
