Billy Joe Patnode, 38 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found driving under the influence and in possession of drugs.
Reports said that Patnode admitted to them that he had been drinking and driving after officers found four opened bottles of alcohol inside his vehicle.
A search then resulted in police locating pills in his center console.
Patnode is charged with DUI, 4 counts open container, possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
