Mark Edgar Alexander, 61 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked another man with a knife outside a home on Burnett Ferry Road.
Officers said that Alexander was intoxicated while using vulgar and profane language in a threatening manner toward the victim.
During the altercation, Alexander allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened to stab him while pointing it at him.
Alexander is charged with simple assault, terroristic threats/acts, and public drunk
