Grady Allen Turpin, 46 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he choked and beat a 14 year-old male in the face.
Police stated that Turpin placed his hands around the child’s throat to the point he could not breath. He then began to hit the child in the eye with a closed fist causing a laceration on his face.
Turpin is charged with aggravated assault, battery and cruelty to children in the 1st degree.
