A Floyd County Jail inmate, John Timothy Dobson, 66 of Silver Creek, is facing additional charges after reports said he cut another inmate’s face with a sharp object.
He is now charged with battery and unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution.

John Timothy Dobson, 66 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said he pointed a gun at a 29 year-old man and pulled the trigger in an attempt to kill him.
He is then accused of kicking a door off the hinges in the home before breaking numerous items in the kitchen.
The incident occurred at the victim’s Wax Road home.
Reports did not indicate if the victim was shot nor injuries the victim occurred.
Dobson is charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage to property.
