Darrell Pernell Jones, 53 of Albany, was booked into the Floyd County Jail after he was accused of robbing another man at his home on Woodberry Drive in Silver Creek,
Police said that Jones entered the victims home to speak with him about borrowing money. While inside, Jones grabbed $2,600 from the victim and threatened him when he tried to get it back.
Reports added that Jones claimed to be a police officer and was just not wearing.
When Jones was leaving the home, he is accused of hitting the victim in the face with his fist. As a result, the victim’s nose was broken and he could not breath out of it.
The incident occurred back on September 16, 2023.
Jones is charged with sudden snatching robbery.
