Gerald Gunner Griffin, 54 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he repeatedly hit another person causing lacerations to her forehead, right and left eyebrow, and her bottom lip.
The incident occurred back in March at a location on East 2nd Avenue in Lindale.
Offiers added that when they located Griffin this week on Shorter Avenue near Division Street he attempted to elude them in an effort to avoid arrest.
Griffin is charged with battery, eluding police and failure to maintain lane.
