Trevon Teshaun Speed., 31 of Fayetteville, was arrested in Rome after reports said he attempted to return items that had been purchased with counterfeit money.

Reports said that Speed had purchased the items from another store before returning them to the Cartersville Highway store.

Speed then allegedly proceeded to make $180 in additional purchases with $120 in counterfeit money.

On the same day, Speed went to the Redmond Circle Walmart and purchased $180.50 worth of items with counterfeit money.

Speed is charged with two counts first degree forgery.
