Rome Woman Jailed for Driving Drunk with Children in Car

Dorice LaFonda Dowdy, 38 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she drove drunk with a 7 and 13 year-old child in the car.

Police said that they stopped Dowdy near the intersection of Turner McCall Blvd and West 1^st Street for following another car too closely.

Dowdy is charged with DUI, two counts endangering a child via DUI and following too closely.
