Hynslei Brooke Fuller, 19 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she stole checks and then used $16,440 of the victim’s money.
Police said that between September 8 and October 16 of last year, Fuller forged 18 checks to deposit the funds into her personal account.
Reports went on to say that Fuller was hired as a caretaker for the victim, who was an 84-year-old man.
Fuller is charged with felony theft by taking, 3rd degree forgery and exploitation of the elderly.
