Eric Eugene Vaughn, 53 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he took possession of a woman’s 2017 Lexus SX with the pretense of him performing work on it.
However, Vaugh never returned the vehicle, which had been in his possession since December 2022.
He is also accused of obtaining $3,000 via CashApp from the victim for the work he was supposed to have done.
Also, Vaugh is accused of writing a check to All Clean Services in the amount of $750 knowing it would not be honored due to sufficient funds.
Vaughn is charged with felony theft by taking, theft by deception, theft by conversion and deposit account fraud.
