Kendra Delynn Bishop, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she kicked and resisted arresting officers who were taking her into custody for DUI.
Police said that they initiated the traffic stop near the intersection of GA 53 and Burlington Drive. During their investigation, they stated that Bishop smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and a loss of balance.
During the transport for medical clearance, Bishop is accused of kicking and pulling away from officers.
Bishop is charged with DUI, felony obstruction and open container.
