At approximately 4:36pm, emergency responders were dispatched to the Ashland Park Apartments in reference to a male subject who had been shot. Responding units located the victim who had two visible gunshot wounds.
He was transported to Atrium Health Floyd where at last check he was receiving emergency treatment.
A suspect has been identified as the scene is currently being processed by our Criminal Investigation Division.
The Ashland Park apartments are located off of Broadus Road in the Hwy 53/Ga Loop 1 intersection area.
