Titus Dewayne Daniel Jr, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week at Evans Store on Alabama Highway after lying to police in an effort to hid his identity to avoid arrest.
Police said that Daniel was wanted on a failure to appear and contempt of court warrant.
Daniel is charged with giving false information to police, contempt of court and failure to appear.
A woman with Daniel, Taylor Janet Owens, 25 of Rome, was also arrested for aiding and abetting the suspect in his actions.
After arriving at the jail, Owens was found with drugs in her pants.
Ownes is charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and party to a crime.
