Rome Man Jailed for Knife Attack on Calhoun Avenue

Jason Earl Edwards, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he approached a man on Calhoun Avenue and hit him with his fist.  He is then accused of pulling out a knife and thrusting it toward the victim’s face.

The incident occurred back on January 5^th at 301 Calhoun Avenue.

Edwards is charged with battery and aggravated assault.
