Pete Buck Allen, 27 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to kill a 25-year-old woman by strangling her to death.
Reports added that Allen told the victim that he was going to kill her while in the presence of a small child.
When officers arrived on the scene, Allen was accused of ignoring officers’ commands while physically attempting to fight them.
The incident occurred at a home on Avenue D.
Allen is charged with aggravated assault, felony obstruction, terroristic threats and acts and two counts cruelty to children.
