Robert Lee Sullins JR, 58 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he failed to complete the annual required registration for being a sex offender.

A Rome man who has been in jail since March is now facing additional charges. Robert Lee Sullins, Jr, 50 of a Fred Kelly Road address in Rome, who was arrested on child sex charges is now facing similar charges.

According to jail records Sullins was charged with sexual battery against a child under the age of 16 and child molestation on May 6.

He was arrested on March 2nd for allegedly inappropriately touching a female under the age of 16. Reports said that that incidents occurred January of 2012 though September of 2015.

Reports said that the victim was a ‘mentally disabled person’.

Sullins is charged with child molestation and sexual battery from the original arrest.

Sullins is now charged with failing to register as a sex offender.
