Valorie Deloris Haynes, 51 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she led police on a car chase after failing to yield and nearly crashing into their patrol car.

Reports said that Haynes fled from officers after nearly hitting their car on N Elm Street. During the chase, Haynes allegedly left her lane of travel and ran stop signs while trying to avoid arrest.

After eventually stopping, Hayes was found with cocaine and had been driving under the influence.

She is also accused of actively resisting arrest while being taken into custody.

Haynes is charged possession of cocaine, DUI, reckless driving, obstruction, attempting to allude to law enforcement, driving a motor vehicle on a suspended license, running a stop sign, driving without insurance, failure to maintain lane and failure to yield.
