Edward Louis Crowder, 53 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he robbed a liquor store on North Broad Street at gunpoint.
Police said that Crowder went to the store just after 10:40 in the morning on Tuesday December 19th and pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money while threatening her life.
Crowder was able to leave the store with close to $700.
Crowder is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and probation violation.
