John Patrick Tant, 48 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he repeatedly shoved a woman to the ground and then pulled her hair.
The victim also told police that Tant threw her belongings around the home.
The incident occurred at his home on Crescent Avenue.
Tant is charged with simple battery and disorderly conduct.
