Kaviaus R Seagraves Jr, 32 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he ran from police when they attempted to question him about a robbery.
Police said that Seagraves matched the description of a robbery suspect and when they approached him, he fled on foot.
After a short chase, Seagraves was taken into custody and was found to be in possession of cocaine.
Seagraves is charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, obstruction, probation violation and two counts of contempt of Superior Court.
