Victor Earl Saxton Jr, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he placed people in danger when he was clocked at speeds of over 70mph in a 30mph residential zone.

Police added that when they attempted to pull Saxton over he fled away at high rates of speed in an attempt to avoid being captured.

Saxton then drove his vehicle into a home, resulting in damages to the house, before driving away without reporting the accident.

The incident occurred on Braham Avenue.

Saxton is charged with reckless driving, fleeing from police, driving on a suspended license, duty upon striking fixture, too fast for conditions and failure to maintain lane.
