Marieo Shauntoyas Sims, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he ran from police after they clocked him at driving of speeds over 100 mph on the Loop.

Police said that Sims refused to pull over for officers as they chased him for a distance before a foot chase ensured on Mays Bridge Road.  Authorities stated that Sims nearly caused two wrecks during the chase.

The incident occurred last May 9th.  He was finally apprehended this week after being arrested in Polk County.

Sims is charged with reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain lane, attempting to elude police and obstruction.
