Danny Dewayne Haygood, 62 of Rome, was arrested at an apartment on Dodd Blvd after reports said he used his fist to beat his wife in the face.
Reports added that the victim suffered swelling, bleeding and a loss of vision from the attack. Police went on to say that Haygood’s actions “seriously disfigured her face”.
Haygood is charged with aggravated battery.
