Ronnie Jackson Vanmeter, 25 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with drugs following being taken into custody for shoplifting at the East Rome Walmart.
Police said that Vanmeter was captured allegedly stealing a Rukku Express, valued at $29.
While being searched, Vanmeter was found in possession of three prescription pills that were not in their original container.
Vanmeter is charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance, theft by shoplifting and drugs not in original container.
