Joshua Benton Riley, 40 of Summerville, was jailed in Rome after leading state troopers on a high-speed chase down US27.

Reports said that Riley was clocked at driving 120 MPH on GA 1. During the chase, Riley is accused of running several stop signs while weaving into oncoming traffic.

After finally pulling over, officers found Riley in possession of a bag of methamphetamine and a meth pipe.

It was also discovered that Riley had been driving under the influence of methamphetamine.

Riley is charged with fleeing, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, driving on a suspended license, DUI, running a stop sign, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, speeding, improper lane change, reckless driving, too fast for conditions and operation of a vehicle on approach by an emergency vehicle.
