Jonathan Jerrod Heath Sr, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he used a stolen garage door opener to gain access to a home on Windmill Drive.
Authorities added that once inside he used a stolen key fob to gain access to a car and proceeded to steal close to $1,500 in items.
Heath is charged with first degree burglary, theft by taking and entering an automobile with the intent to commit a felony.
