Aaron Cole Reeves, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he shoved his elderly father down a flgiht of stairs, which resulted in his hip being shattered.
Police added that the 72 year-old victim told police that he is scared to go home after he is released from the hospital.
Reeves is charged with aggravated battery, exploitation of the elderly and probation violation.
