Benjamin John Godfrey, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly ran a stop sign before hitting and killing a motorcyclist on Highway 53 at Shannon Road.
Reports said that Godfrey was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado on Shannon Road when he failed to stop at a sign and turned in front of a northbound motorcycle driven by Marc Bradley Sharpe.
The incident occurred back on September 14th.
Godfrey is charged with vehicular homicide in the 2nd degree and running a stop sign.
