Andre Michael Irvin, 49, and Jaya Jabre Garrett, 20, both of Rome, were arrested during a traffic stop on Harvey Street.

Police said that they pulled Irvin over for not maintaining his lane of travel.   While conducting the stop, officers said that they detected a marijuana odor coming from the vehicle.

Marijuana was then seized from the driver’s door of the car.  A search then resulted in officers finding a glass pipe containing crack cocaine.

Gerrett is accused of giving police a fake name while they were investigating the scene.

Both are charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug related objects.

Irvin is also charged with possession of marijuana and failure to maintain lane.

Garrett is additionally charged with giving false information to police, failure to appear and probation violation.
