Man Jailed in Rome for Not Doing Work He Had Been Paid to Do

Victor Ramirez, 65 of Lilburn, was arrested in Rome this week after reports said he was paid to perform sign work he never did.

Police said that Ramirez was paid a $17,000 down payment to create and install signs at two businesses in Rome.

Ramirez never did the work and then told the victim that he could not pay the money back because it was cost too much money to visit his mother in Mexico.
